Yes. It could be short but you should expect a cycle.

A hard cycle will certainly cycle a tank but it will kill most of the animals you spent all that money on with the live rock. If you want biodiversity in your rock and sand a hard cycle is about the worst possible method you could use.

In my experience, ammonia above 1.0ppm is detrimental. Ammonia between 0.25 and 0.50ppm is all that is needed for a good cycle and that's not high enough to kill the organisms in your live rock.

If you can gt a good clear picture of the Snail that would help. My guess is that it hitchhiked in.

If you want to keep the live rock you are going to buy useful then take that big shrimp out or the ammonia will get way too high.

Neither of those snails are likely to reproduce in an aquarium. It hitchhiked on something you've added to the tank and you are just now seeing it. Or, you have misidentified the Nassarius Snail and it's actually a Ilyanassa.

For the mini-micro tank I would not recommend a filter. You do need something to move the water around though, perhaps an air stone but you'll have to find something to deal with the salt creep. Perhaps set the lighting or a nearby incandescent bulb on a rheostat to control the tank temp...
