    Reef safe epoxy recommendations?

Scotchkote is reef safe after it cures. I don't know about any other liquid epoxies. Maybe use a two-part to seal it then coat it with scotchkote?? I've usually used the putty.

    Newbie help. please.

This is a problem. When water evaporates, only the water evaporates leaving the salt behind. When topping off you just want to replenish the water so it needs to be fresh water. Topping off with saltwater is a good way of slowing raising your salinity so it can be useful but if you want to...

    Newbie help. please.

A couple suggestions: 1 - get your own test kits 2 - add only one fish at a time (unless they are a bonded pair) 3 - prepare the bacteria in your tank for the increase in bioload by ghost feeding the tank for the week before adding a new fish. A couple questions: 1 - Do you make your own RO...

If the food is not in reach they often leave the rock. Look for Mysid Shrimp and Amphipods too. Probably Copepods as well. Copepods have one eye that shines back from the flashlight.

How long do you store SW before using it?

I agree. If you can keep the water chilled like in a basement it is less likely to precipitate.

    High alkalinity..

"normal" has many factors so the ideal range varies based on stocking list, temperature, even salinity. Your water is in the normal range but all could be a little higher, but it is adequate. Does your freshly mixed (after 24 hours) saltwater have similar values?

    Ocellaris Clown with White spot

I agree, it's just a mis-bar. Not harmful and very unique. Does it have the same pattern on the other side?

    High alkalinity..

I hate to be a real pain but what is the unit of measure for those values? Alk of 7.8 dKH is low, ALK of 7.8 Meq/L is really high for example.

    High alkalinity..

Tell me the actual measurements. "Normal" is no help at all in diagnosing issues.
