    Recommended RO/DI system?

I have the split to the faucet before the DI canister. The DI is purer than the RO only. I think mine is a 4 stage with the 5th stage separate so I can split it off for drinking water. I also have the system plumed directly to my ATO reservoir and tank I mix my salt water in.

    Recommended RO/DI system?

I love my bulk reef supply system. I got the one that can also be plumbed for drinking water. Only the RO goes to the sink (and fridge for ice). The water only goes through the DI resin for the tank. You do not want to drink DI water.

Making an older clown accept a partner?

That is a bit of a different situation as they were different species. There is a remote chance it would work with the same species. I still wouldn't recommend it in a small tank like yours.

    Need some fish suggestions:

Mine pretty much is out in the open. Stays in the open water at the top of the tank. In taller tank it is nice because most of the fish stay lower.

Should I be supplementing with trace elements?

You should be able to get all your trace elements from the salt mix and water changes.

Making an older clown accept a partner?

First off he's a she. The only hope you have is to introduce a very small male. Personally I don't think in a small tank there is much chance it will work. It usually works best to introduce both when they are very small and let them pair up. One will turn female and the other will stay male.

    Tassle filefish:

Your tank is way too small for a file fish. Min is 180. They get big. I’ve seen many diving and they are often in the 1 foot range.

    Water changes:

I'd say at least 10% water changes so at least 6 gallons a week. It is also a good idea to have a full water change worth of water on hand in case of an emergency. Plus you will need that water for top offs. Personally I do 25% water changes every week or two.

    Water changes:

Definitely no tap water. I have a RODI system installed under my kitchen sink at home. Super easy DIY project. I bought my system from bulk reef supply. I have DI separate and it is only for the fish. THe RO part I have plumber to my sink for drinking water and to my fridge for ice. It’s...

    Complete Aquarium Kits

Some that are meant for reefs are pretty good. Stay away from one with anything alive. The tank won’t be ready for life for a couple months. During this time you will be culturing the bacteria necessary to sustain the life. I personally love the Red Sea reefer tanks. Way out of my budget...

help in feeding bottom dwelling fish.. Shrimp Goby

Maybe feed the fish in another part of the tank then try to target feed him when the others are occupied else where. You could also put the food in some sort of container with a small entrance the other fish can’t get into and put it into the tank near his hole.

    Horn shark eyes

Hard to say. He may suffer some loss in vision if he develops scar tissue on his corneas. Not sure if that will matter much, they don't use their eyes to feed and in nature feed at night. If he is eating that is a good sign. What size tank do you have him in?

    Opinion on new fish

I wouldn't do it more because of the dimentions of the cube than the volume. A standard 90 I'd be more likely say try it than the cube.

Long term planning of future tank

The additional 5 gallons won't make a difference in how many or which fish you can keep. In the case of a 40 gallon breeder vs. a 45 gallon you are actually reducing the territory with the 45. Both are 36 inches long. The 40 is 18 inches front to back and the 45 is 12 inches. The extra...
