    Lots of bubbles

Ive only had this happen with hang on skimmers. It has always been correctable with a bubble trap on the skimmer output.

    New to Sharks

I’d start trying to acclimate it to a more varied frozen diet. Ghost shrimp are good to get it feeding but not going to meet its dietary needs. You need to feed it a varied diet marine shrimp, clams, scallops, chunks of marine fish, etc. you can buy these fresh at the grocery store and chop...

    New to Sharks

I don’t think hiding is outside of normal behavior for a young nocturnal shark. They are instinctively aware of the need not to be eaten. Movement in the house around the tank may be contributing to this behavior. Lowering the amount of light in the tank and surrounding room and reducing the...

    Toadstool coral Need Help!!!

It looks ok to me. Soft corals often do that. They kind of get a waxy coating that they then shed. This is how the clean themselves but also a response to stress. It should be fine as long as you have adequate light.

    Plumbing

Depends on what is leaking. If it is the hose just buy a hose clamp. If it is the connector you can try Teflon tape. I prefer rigid PVC PIPE.

Hello! New again - Issue with something

Even filter sock that is not super fine will help catch it. I wouldn’t leave it permanently but it certainly would help in the short term. Just be sure to clean it frequently.

Hello! New again - Issue with something

Glad to hear the tank was fishless for a while. In the future don’t take the advise of the fish store. One fish at a time is all we should add with at least two weeks between. The pair of clowns would be an exception because they need to be added together. Did you quarantine them. If not...

Gold Nugget Maroon clownfish compatibility with a pair of Platinum and Midnight

Once you’ve had a maroon clown by itself, even for just a couple weeks, it will have transitioned to a female. You will never be able to give it another maroon or any other clown fish. The only way to get a pair of marooons is to buy a mated pair or buy two very young ones at the same time...

    New to Sharks

You have this in a 90 gallon? Do you have a lot of open sandy areas? A lot of live rock could be hard on its skin, they need the open sandy areas.

Hello! New again - Issue with something

No idea what the particles are probably just salts that have precipitated out in the sump. What kind of water are you using? On another note, That that tank is not ready for fish let alone 4 fish. 10 days is not enough time for it to be fully cycled and ready to handle the waste of even one...

Gold Nugget Maroon clownfish compatibility with a pair of Platinum and Midnight

I assume your platinum and midnight are oscelaris, a different species. You can’t mix clown fish of different species, period.

Your friends are a male female pair. The larger one is the female.

Gold Nugget Maroon clownfish compatibility with a pair of Platinum and Midnight

Maroons don’t mix especially if they’ve already transitioned to female. They transition quickly and young so your solo maroon is a female and one of the others is too. That means fight to the death. If the other two are a different species, it will be even more likely.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. The maroon will kill them.

    New to Saltwater

I would never cycle a tank with a fish even a cheap molly. Unless it is acclimated slowly to salt water it will die of osmotic shock before the ammonia gets it. I wouldn’t add macro algae until the tank is done with the initial cycle. The macro algae will use up the ammonia, nitrites and...

Sure. Whether it is just moving across the star or causing damage, I don’t know.
