Long term planning of future tank

I’d definitely go with a 40 breeder. It is a great size. The dimensions are great because it is shallow tang meaning more territory for the fish. Ship the damsels or go with only one and add it last. Damsels are beautiful fish, one of my favorites in the ocean but they suck in an aquarium...

Inheriting a 65 gallon, new to saltwater

I use carbon filtration in my tank all the time. I actually use both carbon and granulated ferrous oxide in reactors. I do buy a higher quality carbon from bulk reef supply than is typically sold at fish stores

    700g tank stocking level

I think the load will be fine. The biggest issue may be possible aggression. Your three pairs of clowns. Are you thinking 3 different species which I think has a likelihood of failure. If you are thinking of the same species you are best starting with 6-8 very small ones and letting them sort...

    Getting back with a 75gal

You need to have a pretty mature tank for the diamond goby. It isn't as much the pods as the life in the sand bed that needs to be established for a sand sifter. They often starve to death.

    Popeye in Coral Beauty

A variety of frozen foods. I’d avoid blood worms and stick to marine fish foods. I like emerald entre and other similar omnivor foods. I mix it up with different foods on different days. I do offer pellets maybe once a week just so they’ll eat them if I have to leave their care in somebody...

New to Saltwater and in middle of new build. Please help!

I wouldn’t want the overflow and return, if there was only one on the same side of a 6’ tank but you dont need to drill for your return. You can just make it out of PVC that goes over the rim from behind. I did this with my water change system where I have a permanently plumbed plumbing...

They are a high volume company, probably why they are so much less. They are sold at large retailers like petsmart and *****. They should be perfectly good for your display. Mine are Marineland which is probably the same quality.

I think they are OK. You can get a 125 Aqueon at PetsMart.

No, a caribbean reef shark. She was a big one though, probably the biggest one we saw.

I’m sure you really need plans. I will suggest you decide what you want in the sump first. Skimmers take up a lot more space than you’d think. You don’t need a ton of space for your return pump but you need to know how big it will be first. Make sure your compartments are sized correctly...

Agreed. I don't have as much of an issue with the traps as the others. I don't have a trap between my first two sections and only an over under between section 2 and 3. I have no issues with bubbles. The size is great, I have a 40 gallon because that is what I had on hand to build the sump...

In my opinion the shallower tank is easier to light. In a reef lighting is the most expensive part. You need more light in a tall tank to keep coral all the way down. When I bought my tall tank that is one of the things that the store owner warned me about. Tall tanks are harder to clean...

I like the dual over flow especially for a large tank. I set one of my returns up as an emergency overflow with a pipe just over the water line. I only have experience with marineland corner overflow tanks. I had a 125. It was around $400 maybe 3 years ago. I replaced that with a 120 high...

    Hammer coral looks weak

You might try changing the flow around it.

    Water level adjustment

If I remember correctly you have the marine land corner overflow. If you remove the front piece you might be able to get it lower. You might also have to reduce the height of the return pipe to the sump.
