    can somebody please help me find out what kind of algae this growing? It looks like green coralline algae growing. It also grows on the glass just like coralline does. But why is it green? If it's not green coralline, what is it? Your help would be much appreciated.

    it honestly looks like Green Coraline Algae forming. I took a toothbrush that i use with the tank and tried to scrape some off. It took some of the top off, but there was still the green base to it.

    I realize that this is not an ideal set up. Like i said, i did not purchase this tank set up or the two tangs. But i have to take care of these fish until i can get the proper tank set up for them to live happily.

    I use a sealife systems wet-dry trickle filter. I currently have one power head in the corner pushing all of the water in the tank. I know i need more movement. The levels are: Temp-80 Degrees F Nitrate- around 80 ppm Nitrite-0ppm Ammonia-between 0 and 0.25 ppm PH- 8.0 S.Gravity- 1.023

    Thanks for the tips man! The yellow tang was actually given to me by my uncle. so i would feel bad getting rid of him I use a sealife systems wet/dry trickle filter.
