We got the marineland fixture. It has regular light and moon light. We keep it and the Coralife fixture we already had on. We keep them on for at least 8 hours

Today we got a marineland led moonlight fixture. We are going to keep our daylight on and just use the moonlight fixture when we want to see everything glow. Both fixtures fit perfectly on the tank

day.... hmmm.. idk.. we have 2 new coral (bubble tip anemone and frog spawn) and one banded coral shrimp everything is doing great. i am thinking of investing in another actinic bulb so the coral "glows".. would that be okay to run 2 of those instead of one actinic and one daylight bulb like i...

Thank you sweatervest. The Hubby already sold the 75. We decided a 55 and a 20 are all we need in our small apartment. I am already not going to have a place for a christmas tree lol. But I do love my sw tank and Hubby loves his 55 catfish tank. We are content, for now

day 14. sorry guys, we had a busy weekend... i am so happy with this tank. today we added a tomato clown. i gave in, my hubby likes them alot so we got it. i figured with all the filtering we do and wc's, he will be okay. he seems to like it. my chair is right by it and when i sit in it he swims...

We have added a little more live rock and some more coral. I will post some pics tonight. Its doing great!!

we were given this piece of coral and are wondering what kind it is so we can read about it. the lady said it was some kind of finger or something like that. she said the exact name i just cannot remember.. this is the best pic i could get its at the top.. that is one of my snails at the bottom :)

it is doing to good. we are DONE adding stuff to the tank for now. only thing i could possible change is a few SMALL pieces of live rock. we are currently in the process of getting rid of my hubbys 75 gallon FW tank for a 30-40 gal SW (i rubbed off on him!!! YAY)

O okay. Yea, I read on a few sites that they can grow up to 8" but most only grow about 4". We will see... We found 2 starfish in our tank!! One of them is a little white small one that was on the glass. We read that we are supposed to tale it out because it will eat our coral. The other one...

I do like that fish. But for this tank we are going to stick to small fish like 5" and less. I will definitely consider it for my 55

DAY 5 added MORE live rock and a 4 strpie damsel. our coRAL IS DOING great. we had just done a wc so the mushroom looks smaller than it did before.. i am loving my tank!!!
