Np. Fish stores unfortunately are not reliable for good advice alot of the time. If u do keep the fish i agree with imforbis. Do a water change to knock it down

Bad bad bad. Live rock is more important to sw then a filter. No iam not joking. Live rock is the base that all that bacteria lives on, that breaks down ammonia and helps your nitrogen cycle. Personal suggestions. 1 get a new store to buy from. 2 return/ rehome the damsels. 3 get live rock...

Welcome to the hobby. Now to your questions. Way way way too many fish to start. Cycling with fish is a horrible idea. Your ammonia isn't dropping bc its still more then your bacteria can handle. Do you have live rock? If so how much?

    Stock suggestions for 75 gallon

When fish are listed difficult its generally for 1 of 2 reasons. Diet or ability to convert to aquarium life. Diet being the most common. The red draggonet is diet related. The leapord wrasse seems to be a combination of both. If you want me to pick one the wrasse is probably the easier to keep...

    Stock suggestions for 75 gallon

Hmm not off hand. Tangs are in general the "boss" fish. Mix them in a smaller tank and its a recipe for trouble. Now i will have 4 tangs together when my tank is finished with the cycle. Currently 2 in my 75 and 2 in my 56 qt. I wouldn't dare try adding another in either tank. Its there tank...

    Live rock hitcher

Ok folks. I have what i believe to be a star fish. All i see is 4 arms coming from diff areas of the rock. Light grey base with black stripes. Appears to be bristle like. Light sensitive bc when i shine my flash light at it, it retracts its arms. Thoughts?

New to hobby - new custom 330 gallon FOWLR need recommendations

An aggressive tank. Lions, eel, grouper , ect doesn't mean corals would be an issue. Any inverts would be tho. I like your fish choices but they will really limit your inverts and future fish selection

Fish seem to be "breathing heavily"

Cycle the new tank first. Your welcome

Fish seem to be "breathing heavily"

As a qt for 2-4 weeks np. I still wouldn't try it with both at the same time tho. My qt is a 56 gal and my sail fin in there looks cramped.
