    Hmm, I do have a coarse black sand. That could be why he doesn't. My sleeper headed goby sifts all the time in my fine sand tank.

    Cheap Chinese leds are good for what u get. Good light out put, but who knows how long they will last. Cheaper to run than T5

    Test it. Any ammonia is bad. Nitrate, nitrite, in low or zero levels your good. Bc you now have fish in the tank. You should have some nitrates or nitrite. Very low ammonia maybe, if so do small water change.
