Why does my sand look like this??

I have 5 Nassarius snails, I'll go pick some more up at the store. My concern now is if I have enough flow in my tank. I have a 75 gallon tank with two powerheads, one on each side, pushing 850 gph.

    Questions about refugiums

That looks like a good idea. I don't know if I would be able to pull it off though.

    Questions about refugiums

I would like to set up a simple refugium for my 72 gallon. I have a wet/dry canister filter running on the tank, but was wondering if I could use a small aquarium, or even a plastic bin, to make a refugium. I really don't know anything about doing this, but wanted to know if it was possible to...

Bought my final fish. Am I overstocked?

I bought my final fish for my 75 gallon today. I have a Kole Tang, 2 clowns, 2 chromies, a foxface, and a dwarf angel. I don't plan on adding anymore fish, just some inverts, and corals. Does my stock list sound okay? Thanks for the input.

    Quick diatom question

Astraea snails is what I use. I'm sure Turbo Snails would eat them also, but I personally don't like Turbos.

    HOB filter and phosphate remover

I have the Eheim wet/dry, but it said to only use the media it came with. I had a really bad hair algae problem in my 55 gallon, so I guess it's safe to say I'm a little paranoid of it happening again in my 75 gallon, even though I do water changes every week of 8 gallons, and use RO water.

    Quick diatom question

I had a lot of diatoms also, when my tank was newer. I bought a Kole Tang for my tank, and he ate just about all of them within a couple of weeks. I didn't buy the Tang for the sole purpose of eating the diatoms, but it worked out good for that reason.

    HOB filter and phosphate remover

I dont know if I can or not. I have a wet/dry canister filter, and the instructions said to only add the kind of media it came with. I don't have a phosphate or nitrate problem, I'm just thinking as a preventative measure. It would make me feel better for some weird reason.

    HOB filter and phosphate remover

I'm thinking about buying a HOB filter, like a penguin bio-wheel, and filling media bags with phosphate remover, and nitrate remover. The only purpose would be to improve water quality, but my question is, would this work okay?

    Snail eggs

My snails do that all of the time, like 3 times a week. My fish always eat them before they hatch though.

Kole/ Yellow Eye Tang not eating

I bought my Kole tang a week ago today and he still has not eaten anything. He's been grazing on the LR a lot, and there is a good amount for him to eat, so I think he's just getting enough from his grazing.

Who thinks this is way too many fish?

You will definitely run into problems, and quickly. If I were you I would keep the 2 percs and 1 angel. I would try to give the rest back to the LFS you got them at or to somebody you know. I would also be concerned about that many inverts. I had a 25 gallon tank, and I only kept a blenny, and 2...

Looks like I need an RO unit ??

The store that I go to sells RO water that you fill yourself for $.29. It's a lot cheaper than buying water that expensive.
