i have the same tank and my temp stays at a steady 82 degrees. that is a fine temp. the main thing you want to watch is that you dont have a temp fluctuation of more than a degree or 2 over the course of the entire day. i only see a change of about 1/2 degree if that.
you basicaly have 3 choices: 28g nanocube hqi (with halide), 29g biocube, or the redsea 34g. i own a nanocube and 2 biocubes, both are very nice systems. from what ive seen the redsea is a true all in one system. i hope this helps.

i have a 24g nanocube and a 8g biocube, i like both systems very much. what size are you thinking about? if i was to do it all over i would get the jbj nanocube 28g. i think it is the best value. it comes with a 150 mh and protein skimmer. but i did see on some other sites that jbj is releasing...

im still running the stock return pump, i added a hydor flow deflector which changes the flow around (my xenia loves it), and i have a korrilia 1 in the upper right front corner that works pretty good. i am considering upgrading my return to a maxijet 1200 and adding a korrilia nano that i have...
