not sure how i accumulate so much nutrients. i have an over size euroreef skimmer, that skims 24/7. it doesnt really skim much... its been 3 weeks and my collection is not even half full. i do have my riser almost fully up.

i think this thread will go on forever... so the answer to your question is... do whatever works for you. weekly may work for some, but may not for others. i find a can of miller light keeps all inhabitants happy. maybe you should try? :D :D :D

dump the salt directly into the tank, then add water. put a couple power head in and your on your way.

i cant seem to find any picture regarding the q-tip sponge. wish someone could id this... very unusual to have it populate all over the tank.

i'd filled up my 125g initially with tap water. since the fill up, top offs and water change is strickly ro/di. i guess it comes down to your tap water condition. i didnt experience any issues with using tap water to start. initial fill up was straight from my garden hose, so yes... the water...

not sure what you mean... it doesnt have holes or anything like that. looks sorta like half a size of a rice grain. its basically EVERYWHERE.... even on some of my hermits and snails shells.

curious how they do between the two bulbs. i'm about to buy my first clam. i like the 20k bulbs better, for its color. but the 10k's are so much brighter.

would 20k mh bulbs be better for them or 10k mh?
