i messed with the skimmer some and now it's not as loud. No more vibrating noices so i should be able to sleep now, thanks alot everyone:)

i messed with things alittle bit and everything is better now:joy: thanks for the help Viper and Mike. I found that the skimmer was also vibrating the top of one of my filters making alot of noice also. Off to the LFS soon get the next thing on my list hopefully, a BTA for my 2 false percs.:)

Thanks Mike and Viper. The loud part is in the skimmer, where the small bubbles come out of the tube and the collection cup vibrates alittle. But if it makes me mad, i'll just turn it down. And just to let you know i woke up this morning and looked in the cup and it was half-way full of...

the only thing that reduces the the noice is when i turn the air pump off. I'll just turn that on and off each day thanks:yes:

can i do it night after night? and should i just turn the air intake down?

I have a Bak Pak2 CPR skimmer and it's kinda loud. So i was wondering if i could turn it off or either turn the air intake down so there wouldn't be any bubble and it would be quite while i sleep

and last question is, is there nayway to make it quiter because its in my bedroom and i think i'll have problems sleeps. Could i turn it off at night or would that not be good?

and are u saying that the cup shouldn't be full of water until i need to empty it?

if i raise it up, then the bubbles can't make it over the top of the cilender in the cup

IT FINALLY GOT HERE:joy: :joy: :joy: lol. I have just finished installing it. But i have one question. In the collection cup there is just alot of white bubble spilling into the cup and then the bubble turn to clean water. Why is it like this and i wanted to know if i was doing anything...

Bang Guy, why do you do a large water change when you hit 0.5? Can your nitrates go up after doing a large water change like that?

yea i like them in my tank too, i have 2 of them. My girlfriend also has 2 blue damsels and is starting a new, bigger tank. Is it a good idea for her to put them in her new tank to make the cycle go faster? What are the chances of them dieing?
