So my tank has been under construction for few weeks now.. with many problems.. here are my new readings.. Calcium: 38 copper 0 Phosphates .20 Nirite .5 nirate 8 ammionia .5 I've done two 10 gal water changes each week( using i Think is RO water)

Ok thanks.. I've noticed that it started with one cichlid( also looks puffy/inflamed) and is now moved on to his other cichlid, but I'll be sure to tell him and hope for inprovment.

okay sweet thanks for the info.. my ALK is 4.6 last time i checked( couple days ago) so to me thats great news. i'm doing a 10 gal water change in the next couple of days so we will see how it goes from there.

Buy a master test kit you WILL need it.. better to see the problem their than in your tank.. What kind of water do you use?

I have a 55 with 3 aqua clear filters with a power head( only one I know having 2 is best) and a protein skimmer. phosphates .20 ammonia .25 PH 8.5. ik thats not great but, i'm working on it and its coming along.. and my tank just fell a little behind( my fault) but I wont let it happen again...

okay yeah.. and anything about the flow and best concentration of salt? any minerals that help them? light timing for them and if my lights will be strong enough? I've learned that its better to learn from other people mistakes rather than trying to figure them out your self when the problem accuses

I would say call in the troops (peppermint shrimp) but well water is the hold back.

rn 500 and rn 250 there aqua clears.. the rn 500 said on the box it was for 150gal i know that not what it really is for but ya.

okok and i have one more smaller filter if i should put that in? i have two in there already but ya i understand. .yeah one powerhead and carbon and stuff to catch the waste and in the other one i have the stuff to catch the waste and some bacteria growing stuff thats suppose to help with it...
