Is your xenia in a low flow area? My xenia that receives a lot of flow is moved around too much to see the pulsing. If I turn off the pump, then it pulses. Not all xenia will pulse in everyone's tank. Nobody that I have read on this subject can definitively say why. One fellow hobbyist once...

What are the actual numbers on your parameters? What is your temp? Where are you placing the corals in relation to the light? How did you acquire the failing corals? What was your acclimation procedure? Can you post a pic of your tank?

In addition to the pods, mine eats blood worms, and always has since I introduced him. (apparently not the norm). I was told live blackworms are a good gateway supplemental food, which you can then transition into frozen blood worms. I have not used this method myself, but I know others who have.

And as I understand it, RTN will always lead to death of the coral, and bleaching may or may not lead to death. Is that accurate?

IMO - If there is no signs of stress, then I would not stress too much. As someone else posted - do scheduled water changes - there are too many opinions on how much and how frequently to count. Do what is manageable and monitor your nitrates for escalation. If you really want them to be 0...
