Would anyone know how to test for bad stuff in some dead coral/base rock? Can you put them in some salt water and just run a Copper test etc. on them? :notsure: What other thing should you test for? THis isn't a large amount of rock, but it seems a waste not to use it if it can be tested...

I wouldn't put all the bulbs in it yet. On an ICE CAP, I believe you can run any combination of bulbs(Like just one). You may want to check that to be sure. I have heard of "scorching" coral with a massive increase in lighting. 20 to 300 is a big jump all at once.

How about copper banded butterfly fish? THey have been used in propagation tanks on other sites with good results (G_eothermal A_quaculture R_esearch F_oundation . org) under: controlling pests: aipstasia. Your lagoon should keep one distracted enough to prevent them from bothering coral...
