The funnel and tubing works but I have also just used a measuring cup and it is pretty quick and easy. I just added live sand a cup at a time and was able to do that without creating a mess and added sand where I wanted to.

Can someone explain the concept and actual steps for a freshwater dip? Assume it is saved more for an emergency last ditch effort to beat ich or some other cleansing of parasites. Do you actually let them swim in the freshwater for a short period of time or is it a literal "dip"? TIA
