i started this stand a while ago, just recently painted it and got it into the house, i have not put the doors on yet but at least its inside. i started making trips to the water store before work and ran out about 7 gallons short. but the cycle has started and i think its got good potential.

dsb=deep sand bed you water flow may also be the problem, i got rid of my cyano by decreasing hours of light and directing more flow toward the cyano. good luck HTH -brandon

ya, the middle, floating in the middle of the "pool". i havent seen it that dirty since but it sure does feel good in there. -brandon

i was sitting in the wirlpool at the gym the other day and started thinking how dirty the foam on top was. a few days later i looked at the foam when no one had been in there in a while and there was "crud" on the large pile of foam in the middle....kinda gross. i still enjoy the 100 degree...

how much was it?

an overflow box is how you get water out of your tank and into a sump/fuge without drilling the tank. a refugium is where you keep macro algae and detrivores and is a lower GPH than a sump. a sump is where you can keep your heaters, skimmer, etc. to keep them out of your tank. HTH -brandon

if you raise the sallinaty at a slow rate i would assume you also lower it at a slow rate? over 5-7 days? -brandon
