The diamond goby is starting to settle in and not create such a rukkus. I think I'm going to keep him. He's a great bottom dweller that likes to keep the sand stirred and eats anything that falls on it. Great for a clean up crew - couldn't ask for better. The cyanobacteria situation is coming to...

I may have to wait until that diamond goby does the rest of his business and then catch him and take him back to the store. Boy is he tearing up some cyano though. I just have to find a more effective means of removing it from the system other then this goby. Hey Snake I have a yellow headed...

    Snake's 75g build thread

I also bought a nice diamond goby for my system. He's going to town on the cyano in the sandbed. The problem now is that he is causing wayyy too much of a problem with the sand sifting. The tank is starting to get infused with a white powder from the sand ... all over the surfaces of the rocks...

    Diamond Goby - Remove Screen?

So I just added a Diamond Goby to my tank last night. I read horror stories of them jumping out so I have sealed off my canopy around all 4 sides. There is literally no way for him to get out of the tank. he can jump but will land in the water. I even made acrylic cover for my over flow so he...

how many fish for a 125 reef and which ones

I already have a sand sifting star fish in the tank, but I have a deep sand bed in my refugium. Will the diamond goby take the nutrients away from the starfish and vise versa? If I can't have both that is fine, but what order do I add my fish list? I am also looking at adding three peppermint...

how many fish for a 125 reef and which ones

Yes it is a "Catalina" Goby. I am aware that these fish like cooler water (found that out afterwards). When I asked the LFS about it I was told different information about it. As it turns out the LFS could care less if it was good for my tank or not and just wanted the sale. (I learned) I...
