    your magnesium is too low.. iw ould bet on it! nice, steady higher magnesium equals good color...ive seen this personally on many tanks..get a salifert test kit,, only way to really knwo what its at accuratly and they will color up over time.. for sps you should tryt o acheive ca 400-450 alk...

    all test kits but salifert are junk so it could be that, are you runnign askimmer on the QT? if not then thats why.. i would be more worried about your water change from your main tank.. if your SG was at 1.009 then you did a water change with 1.026 water from your MT which it should be around...

    1. look at my flowerpot, same charectericstics and it grew the same way eventually 2.thats not a mat it looks like the exoskeleton where they are retracting in and out 3.i guess it might but all the charecteristics point to flowerpot. not an argument i just firmly beleive it a gonopora...

    agreed,, they are VORACIUOUS algae eaters.. all day and night picking , i say they are very hardy species..if you get ich on a kole tang something is really wrong..
