The rock and curing are things I already am knowledgeable on, what I'm trying to decide is how much coral i can safely add in one day and how long in between adding handfuls of coral.

I've heard copper banded butterflies eat them but its hit and miss, I don't want to spend 50 bucks on a fish that might eat my feather dusters and who knows what else. I'll continue the fight and hope they decrease in numbers.

No its not hard like coraline, its soft almost slimey. It comes off quite easily.
