My PH is 8.3 no matter what time of day I test it. I agree that I need to raise my Mag to 1400. As far as Calcium it is already on the high side and I really don't want to buy/add another piece of equipment. I just need to figure out out how much to mix and drip dose Alk.

I need to replace the bulbs in my Metal Halide fixture. They are long overdue. I'm currently running 3, 150 watt Phoenix 14k. I really like them but want to hear what others are running. Any suggestions would be great too.

Here's my basement sump. The grey rubbermaid is 10 gallons. It's set up for automatic top off. I have it plumbed to my rodi. Never have to top off . The blue barrel is for water changes. I turn a valve and that fills with rodi water. Then I add salt and power head and heater and it's good to go.

Got back today. Checked the skimmer, here's 3 1/2 days worth.

Yeah looks like there's still bubbles. Tank lights are off right now and leaving town tomorrow morning. Have to take pic next week.

Did a water change tonight and decided to plug in my skimmer and try again. It hasn't been on in weeks since I first tried it. It started skimming immediately! I think it was just too clean before because I cleaned it with vinegar. Must have a nice coating on it now so the bubbles cllimb right...

Things are ok. Tank is cleared up. Scrubber is getting pretty brown. I had to move the lights back a bit because the center of the screen wasn't growing anything. I still haven't got any filter pad to put in sump for bubbles. My LFS isn't so local. Just haven't had the time to go.

It is but I haven't cleaned it. The tank actually looks like it's clearing up. Looks better today. I'll just give it some time.

Lowered the scrubber screen today. Water is nice and calm under it now. Starting to turn brown too

Ok I plumbed in the ball valve and turned the flow way down. Just gotta get some wire ties to lengthen screen.

I built the gate valve mod according to ASM's specs. It ran for a couple years beautifully before I took it out. Probably needs to just break in. I'm more concerned about the film on the tank walls. The water is cloudy as well.
