Thank you Sir. Some people are sooo nervous to use lab/food grade chemicals because it doesn't have the <put overpriced manufactures name here> on it. The reality is, these companies are just buying the product in bulk, packaging in small quantities, and charge insane prices.

Hey guys, I use a CA reactor, and it keeps my CA level up nicely, but every week i have to add a bit of calcium, i 'could' upgrade my reactor, but instead i used "Turbo Calcium". After buying 2 containers, i got sick of spending that kind of money, i started using laboratory grade Calcium...

Got a reactor that is giving me problems. When dialing the regulator fine adjustment from 0 bubbles to "Just a couple bubbles", is very slight...but then after 2 minutes, no bubbles. Then I turn up the adjustment a bit, and it bubbles out of control. Does it sound like my regulator is shot?

ugh, well i just vacumed out 10 gallons taking a bunch of em out.   Looks like i will be setting up the QT tank for the Wrasse   thhanks all!

Great thanks guys! So, I've got a bottling bucket. I'll rack into the bottling bucket, then I'll scrub and sterilize the carboy, and transfer back into it...and let it sit for at least another week. Do you think that for a light beer, second fermentation will take +1 week after primary?

It's been sitting for 8 days. I used a wort chiller and hop bag. I did not transfer to another carboy...I was under the impression that when the airlock stops, you should immediately bottle. Is it OK to let go for another few days?

Return the masking chemical. Sell ur can filter(or put it on the shelf in the garage). Get a ro unit. Put in sump with a dsb and grow macroalgae. Build a turf mat filter.

I use what Flower uses...never had a problem.

New tank setup? If so, maybe let it ride out. Pull the clumps out. Algae needs food to grow. Once its supply is gone, algae will stop growing. Is it diatoms? I would post some pics...let the experts identify what it is. As long as it is not out of control I wouldent start to do anything crazy...

Silly question... Airports require all liquids to be in one quartsized ziplock bag...obviously because of the thousands of liquid explosives or flamable materials out there...totaly understand, and agree with it. But, what if I were to stumble over a coral when out of town? i'd rather not ship...
