It was advertised as a white sebae. It actually has a greenish tinti to it with purply-bluish tipped tenticles.. I hope he gets better if he is bleached.. I dont have a camera anymore so i cant get a pic of it..

I have a HOB filter, and i just put the bag in the filter, after the charcoal.. if my memory serves me right they make a powder.. i have only had experience with the bags... ( i could have been thinking about something else though..) anyway, just put it in the filter and it will do the job...

Tap water for me.. i kill all the crap in it with AmQuel+ and top off about every two days.. /Ranton I will probably continue to use tap water for the fact that ten years ago reef tanks and such didnt have ro/di water available... and they had some gorgeous looking tanks.. /Rantoff :)

check your lighting.. i had a hella bad problem with it in my tank.. i took the bulbs out, cleaned em up, cleaned tthe glass over the tank, and i woke up today and its literaly disintegrating into itself.. really wierd how lighting controls most of the algae in our tanks...

I have a 2 inch layer of CC along with about 3 inches of varying sand ontop of the CC.. I purhcased three different grain types of sand to keep the sand from falling down into the CC.. Large grain on top of the CC Medium grain on top of the large Sugar sand on top of that.. The layers dont...

No skewing that im aware of... Just that it directly attacks the ammo and such.. It will drop all three critical levels at once.. most times a 1/4 to half of the recommended dosage is extremely usefull.. as the full dosage removes full points of ammo and nitrates and such and the most problems...

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you.. Yes you can find that "AmQuel+ plus" made by "Kordon" at almost any lfs.. its not to bad on price for the job it does... It is designed to erase Ammo, TraAtes and TrItes, along with chlorine, and chloramine.... Like i said though, you dont want...

Yea hes right, i was a little confusing when i posted that i woudl use the AmQuel to de-toxify the water to at least half of that before putting anything in there....

You are in a world of $h17 ... lol.. . I would use some sort of de-toxin to drop levels.. your going to loose some of it.. there is no helping that.. maybe a couple of the anemone's in the ten with a couple small fish and moniter... then put the rest in the main and pray like hell.. the live...

Personal preference i guess.. i have heard good and bad about rio... ionno.. And if yo go with several smaller ones then you can control the aim and direction of the flow easier.. Again, i think it would come down to personal preference..
