They disappear when the lights go out , retracting back inside of a tube.

While I was just looking at them I noticed another creature! It opens and closes......

They seemed to close a bit when I touched them, they dont blow around much . There is about 20 of them on a 4 lb piece of LR .

I also found these today! any ideas

I touched them and they didnt close all the way up but I think I will get rid of them anyway.....

They are so small its hard for me to tell, looks like it could be either one. Should I let them get a little larger ?

I purchased my first fire shrimp a couple days ago and its been in hiding ever since. Are they usually like this for a few days? I can see him hiding and he looks healthy just shy. I heard if you add another they will be more social? Any thoughts ? I just want to see him out and about.

I recently purchased my first skimmer! The Reef Octopus bh1000 HOB. I have had it running for about 12-13 hours , it hasn't began to skim anything yet . I know they have to break in but I just dont know how long this usually takes . Are all skimmers different? How deep should I set my collection...
