I suppose it could be alot of things. Are your lightbulbs old? How often are you feeding? Do you have high phosphates and/or nitrates?

Is there any benefit to using reef crystals over instant ocean? If reef crystals are better that I will gladly pay the extra couple bucks to use them but will the crystals benefit my corals? could it add too much calcium to my tank? If anyone has experience with the two I would love to have...
