    SeaClone Skimmer?

Been running Sea Clone in an SPS dominated reef for years now. Keep it clean and calibrated and you'll enjoy a full cup of skimmate every 3 days

    anthias question?

Keep them fed very often. They like to eat at least three times a day. I recommend five times a day to keep them healthy and happy. As soon as there is a shortage of food they will begin to compete for it. They usually do so by killing each other.

You can get mantis shrimp traps or you could just use a glass bottle. Clean it, soak in dechlor or R/O for a few hours. Put a peice of fish food in it and sink it to the bottom with the opening facing your live rock. It takes a few days sometimes to a few weeks. Of course the bait has to be...

    nano skimmer

OK, this is where opinions will very. I've used a Sea Clone 150 for the last two years now. This is a higher maintanence skimmer which requires re calibration often(every 3 days for mine) and will need to be taken apart and cleaned every 3 mo. If this can be kept up with you will enjoy a full...

    reef chili

Not at all bud. Most detritus is invert poop if anything and has very little impact on water quality. I've never seen an NH3 spike and I've fed them detritus for 3 years now. Also, the more often you do this the cleaner the system stays as some will get picked up by mechanical filter. If this...

    Fission Nano skimmer

I've had a hard time getting them to function properly. Cup is soooo small, if it did work well you'd have to modify it with a cup drain. Micro bubbles are also a BIG set back. Go to current's web page as they have all sorts of tips to make it work better. Let us know your final opinion.

    Mini Spike

You could do small water changes at about 5% until the denitrifying bacteria has a chance to populate the rocks. Remember even with a great cycle, if over feeding occurs(any food makes it to the filter and is left there), you will see nitrites. Just a consideration.

Mandarins should be banned from the hobby. We kill over 90% sold. Just not a fish for captivity.

If your doing DT's and want a little more, stir up some fish poop(detritus) and let them feast. I use a mag float near the bottom. I shake the daylights out of it near the bottom and watch the poop fly. When the tunze's kick it around, you can really say it hits the fan.

    Brown Coralline - I'm told?

If you can borrow someones tang for a week, that'd do it . My tang made quick work of 80% of it after putting him in the system. It is a macro, not related to coraline, but can get out of hand. It is very easy to remove manually as well. Not sure if a combtooth blenny of any kind would do it...

Are there ANY toxins in mushrooms?

None that I'm aware of. This isn't a positive no, but almost positive. The zoa's would cause much more harm. Now if the dolphins showed a particular liking for them, I'd remove them. Just observe

    Getting Corals to Color Up

Browning and/or darkening can be a sign of too many things to list. I'm just saying he has enough light to keep coral's colorful. I'm running a 150hqi and one 64pc actinic and my corals color up perfectly. Now if I let my Alk go out of whack, my mag./cal drop, or mag/cal stay way above par, my...

    Getting Corals to Color Up

I don't get it. Corals don't color up under 10k's? The two most colorful tanks I've ever seen in person both run 10k's. Check your mag. and make sure it's good. You can even throw some amino's at it to help w/color. But you shouldn't have a problem in the light dept. Everything has to stay...
