I filter out phosphate using SeaChem's Phosguard does a good job. I run it on a continous basis and change it out once a month no phosphate problems.

I use SeaChems Reef Advanage Calcium and Reef Builder. I follow the Bullet Proof Reef system by GARF. It is pretty simply to follow just go to there website there is a calculator for supplements depending upon your take size. It keeps my Calcium and Alkalinity right on target.
