    Turbo-Twist 3x --- Mega problems!

I just received a call from Coralife's service manager, and he has offered to replace the fried 3x, with a new 6x unit, and has also asked me to let him know how the livestock fares through all of this... I was then asked to look through their website, to see what items I could use as...

    Turbo-Twist 3x --- Mega problems!

My corals are slowly beginning to come out, and the fish have all relaxed and seem to be "stress free" once again, but it does appear that the 7 Turbo's and 2 Flame Scallops are definately going to die because of all of this... I did speak w/ Coralife quickly yesterday afternoon, and they are...

    Turbo-Twist 3x --- Mega problems!

It's funny that Tony mentioned the Eco-Aqualizer, because I did buy it, and it is a joke, and it is going back, and I will get a 100% refund... So yes, I tried it, but I'm not out a dime for having done so! ;) I just got back from a quick run into the LFS for some charcoal, Amquel and a new...

    Turbo-Twist 3x --- Mega problems!

Last Friday, I left town for 3 days to attend a business convention in New Orleans, and when I arrived home at approx 1:00am yesterday morning (Monday), I immediately looked in on the tank, and did a much needed water top-off. Since the lights were off, everything seemed normal, except I did...

    Get Rid Algae

Actually, my anenomes are eating like crazy, and growing like mad! I have discovered they greatly prefer to eat cubes of "Formula Angel", than either F1 or F2. When being fed FA, they seem to expell a lot less leftovers, and I've noticed a good color change in them. The 2 anenomes are perched...

how much should I as for this

For anyone that was unable to see the ((((( :D )) that I placed in the post, the $75/delivered comment was meant as a FREAKIN joke! Actually, a more realistic value would be closer to $225 for everything listed, so the person chastizing me is guilty for even thinking $150. ;)

    Get Rid Algae

It aids and strengthens the stronger macros species, so they win the battle of survival... It's like spraying weed killer on your lawn... While enough of it would kill all of the plants, a certain amount will only harm the less hearty ones.

    Get Rid Algae

You could also dose w/ a lot of iron, increase your photo-period, and litertally burn it out. ;) I tried everything imaginable to get rid of a terrible red slime outbreak, and the only thing that actually worked, was using 3x doses of "Kent Fe" and increasing the lights to 18 hours. After 3-4...

    Salinity Question

It's not possible to have varrying salinity readings in different areas of the tank, unless you are just adding salt to the tank itself, and it's not completely dissolved. Furthermore, even if this is the case, power heads would fix that in a hurry!

    Seaclone owners help

I have mine setup free standing in the sump, under 8' of water, and have REMOVED the pre-filter, as it restricted flow. It does operate better w/ less water, but it's a price we have to pay for attempting to save $50 on what is quite possibly the single most important piece of equipment in the...
