i had 1 piece of live rock to my tank... my ammonia went to 0.25 and stayed there for 2 weeks. i decided to add 4 more large pieces thinking this would create an ammonia spike......... it didnt.. it stayed at 0.25 for the last week. the total time has been 3 weeks. when should i see a change...

well what i would like to know is that my tank has been sitting on 0.25 ammonia for about 3 weeks now..... trites and trates both 0. i have added more rock and still no change in any of the levels. is this normal?

yeah i caught one of them so i'll take a pic of it tonight for you they have eaten nearly all the purple off my LR so i'd guess im pretty safe in saying they are BAD!!!!

well i figured they were bad crabs seeing as they were destroying my rock. so i caught 1 of them but the second one still eludes me. also can anyone ID the crab yet?

i have discovered more critters after the addition of more LR... here are some pics is this an amemone? the crab in question (2pics) what the heck is this thing? and a bristle worm?

unfortunately the blue hippo is the price i pay for getting the tank. the deal with the wife so i guess im just gonna have to get religious lol.

got the digi cam working so i got some clear shots of them. also here is a pic of the damage they seem to be doing to my LR should i keep them? are they algae feeders? or menace's?

well i added more LR yesterday 5 more large pieces. checked the levels tonight and the only thing that has changed is ph, amm is still 0.25 and trite and trate are 0. should i wait a couple more days to check again? and should they have gone up by then?

added some more LR today (got it for my bday) and so far i have found 2 hairy black crabs[/IMG]they are hairy and black can anyone ID? also found a huge bristleworm, a different crab who is yet to come out of the hole. and a long white thing that looks like a piece of string. will keep you all...

too late i already added it. only 4 litres though.

as i said....... its a hairy black/brown crab and i noticed it had a couple of white spots

i have 2 hairy crabs that sound like gorilla crabs. if i kept them seperate (till i get my sump) do they need filtration or anything?
