    Automatic fish feeder recommedations?

I use two Rondomatic 400 feeders. Work great. I use them all of the time; not just for vacation, etc. The fish love getting fed little amounts of food all day long. Keeps them busy.

    WebCam

Thanks Peter, I'm not terribly happy with Tenecor as my top panel started to separate from the sides a month ago. I had to do my own fix (with Weldon 3) which fixed it fine. BUT, I notified Tenecor and they took their time responding so I had to fix it right away. By the time they called me, I...

    WebCam

Thanks. After the initial set-up (where you do need a computer to get the IP address of the camera), you no longer need the camera hooked up to a PC, like with the traditional webcams. The camera has it's own OS. My set-up: Cable modem >> 4 port router: Port 1: desktop Port 2: laptop Port 3...

    WebCam

Thanks Rob, I can make it bigger, but the frame per second rate drops. After experimentation, this seems to be the best size.

    WebCam

Orite IC 300 IP Cam. Bought it new from E-Bay (around $160). Pretty good. It's nice that it doesn't need a computer. Software came with it (Expedit?). Pretty simple to set up. And, thanks.

    My eel Milton, RIP.

Sorry to hear that. I lost my Black-Edged Moray a few months back to a mystery nasal infection/tumor. Really liked that guy. Good luck with the rest.

how to shut off pumps for feeding ?

If you don't mind splicing some wires, Home Depot (or any place that sells electrical supplies) sells little ON/OFF Switches that you install (very easy) right into the power cord line of the pump or powerhead or whatever. I like these since you can shut off exactly the item you want.

    Denitrifiers

If you mean nitrate filters: I tried the Aquamedic 1000. It worked but couldn't handle my tank. I'm currently cycling my Natureef CDECX-2 nitrate filter (with phosphate option). It's coming along nicely.

Need opinions on VHO light configuration.

Thanks 007. Good reply. Gets the hamsters spinning that wheel. :D I'll be buying everything on-line (either Premium Aquatics or Marine Depot). I've had good experience with Premium (chiller) in the past but, Marine has free shipping (> $175). Both sites have the bulbs. You're right about...

    Trigger question

Sorry about the havoc the trigger created. Surprised that he killed an emperor. My emperor is one of the top dogs in my tank (with three triggers). I hope he settles down (so unlikely) or you resolve the problem another way soon.

Need opinions on VHO light configuration.

First off, hello to all. Interesting board (especially the shark threads and Cincy's set-up! Very nice). Anyway, can you guys give me opinions on VHO lights and a set-up I want for my tank (before I spend the $$$). The tank is 8' long x 40" wide x 24" high. I'm considering four 6' bulbs...
