Are females usually smaller than males or the other way around. i've had a male mandarin about 6 months now. he's about 4-4 1/2". i wanted him to have a companion so i ordered a medium female. When the fish arrived today it was only about 2-2 1/2". anywho they seem to be getting along okay...
my buddy told me this was a pest anemone but it looks more like hitch hiker polyps to me? can someone tell me whether they are pest or hitch hikers? i've seen aptaisia and this doesn't really look like it if you ask me. as you can see these have yellow centers around their mouths.
Anyone ever been? I'm going to Costa Rica sometime in the summer. I'm definantely planning on going snorkeling or scuba diving. I just wanted to hear about other's experiences...

I got a BTA about 2 days ago. I have 2 perculas but they haven't 'discovered' the anemone yet. Do I need to spot feed this thing or do any special feeding? Please respond, I need help!!!
i bought a pistol shrimp and a flame scallop yesterday and now my yellow tang is laying on his side...what do you think is the culprit...do you think he nibbled on the scallop...are they poisonous if eaten...the guy at the fish shop told me when they die they may release toxins but he looks...
i didn't really know where to put this but for the salifert test it says put in a spoon full of the first calcium additive...when they say spoon do they mean a teaspoon...i don't see how if i put a teaspoon full of it it would stretch to 50 tests?
I was just wondering if they were the same or what because I just bought a feather duster and SWF says they eat phyto but i have zooplankton. Do I need to go get some phytoplankton now? Will the duster eat zooplankton too?
