Hi all, I recently got ahold of a 175w hamilton MH fixture. It has 1 175W 14000k bulb with 2 45watt VHOs. I have a 18" tall 60 gallon tank. How high should i hang the bulb above the water level and do you think i have enough lighting for clams? thanks lots :) -jeff

From what ive read calcium and alkalinity or dkh is very important to the growth of coralline algae. How is dkh tested? Can anyone recommend a good test kit for this, or can it be gotten by using the results of calcium tests? any input would be grat . thanks :)
