word to the novice.......if you're starting to cycle your tank don't go out and buy a couple damsels or so. Throw in a piece of raw shrimp or meat it'll do the same thing. You'll regret having that fish later on after it starts acting agressivee towards your nicer and more expensive fish...

Definately a tilefish, very beautiful fish. I've only seen one beautiful purple one at a LFS, too bad it was 70 bux otherwise she'd be mine.

Would it be possible to use my overflows for intakes?? I'm thinking of having two 20 gallon tanks below with bio balls for each overflow. Could I just pump the water from these out of the holes and avoid an intake hole?

I'm getting a new 180, glass, 72 x 24 x 25 aquarium. This is going to be mainly an SPS tank. I'm gettin two glass overflows installed in each of the back corners. How many holes do you think I should have drilled for closed circulation and where???thanks :notsure:

I got a gorgian from SWF.com and one of the branches was broken off. Can you glue it to a rock or something and it will start a new one? just wondering.......thanks

Jawfish are cool but if you're another fish don't piss them off. They can be vicious, mine would always flare his mouth and try to bite others if approached. Unfortunately he disappeared and was never seen again lol

first off.......puffers+inverts=DEATH!! For 72 bowfront you'll be limited to the kind of fish you buy. You could get some reef safe wrasses, blennies, and maybe some other cool fish. Good luck

Red stuff isn't that hard to get rid of, unfortunately that green algae is a B****. I scrubbed and scrubbed and that stuff would only spread more and more. Solution........I used a brand new razorblade.........works like a charm. Comes off in nice clean little sheets, just scoop them up with a net.

They're everywhere down in florida if you've ever gone scuba diving. I've always wanted a few but I can never find a LFS that has any :nope: oh well, maybe someday
