    flood concerns

I just purchased a 72gallon reef ready oceanic systems aquarium. I live in a 2nd floor apartment & the person who lives on the 1st floor has a very expensive baby grand piano directly below my tank! The built in overflow box I estimate holds roughly 10 gallons, my sump is a 30 gallon tank, if I...

Btw what VHO light system are you using? 36" or 46 1/2" I was hoping to get the 4 bulb 46 1/2 inch VHO retro kit but it seems like that kit will just barely fit. Jay

So your lights just rest on the lip of the stand?? Dont you have serious heat issues with the lights being so close to the water? Do you use any kind of ventilation system under your canopy? I dont know if you could post a pic of your lights but if you could that would be fantastic! thanks, Jay

Thanks for the input guys. I still havent purchased the tank stand or canopy. ( just pretty sure I'll be getting a tenecor 85 gallon flat back hex with stand & canopy ) If I do get that set-up there is no way I can afford MH lights as my budget will be pretty much shot as it is. I also am pretty...

    lighting help

I'm getting a 85 gallon acrylic hex flat back tank ( 48x18x24 ), I was going to stock my tank with about 50lbs of live rock & wanted to eventually add some coral & possibly a giant clam. I've read that MH is the only way to go for clams but I really dont want to deal with the heating issue that...
