    Bristle worm problem

I hand feed my arrow crab in times of need silversides. He tracks it down while in a semi-frozen state and holds on until its gone.

    1 local *****...

Only thing I would say is most stores being a large chain, or a LFS usually dont have holding tanks which meet the requirements of their fish. Each time they gamble that someone will take them home before they die. If this was a display tank with no purpose of selling fish I could understand...

    Clams under VHO

I've got a Deresa under 4 vho, 1 aquasun, 2 blue, 1 50/50. I had it actually under 3, which was 2 aquasun, 1 blue, for about 7 months. I've had it under 4 bulbs now for about 2 months. It enjoys the sandbed, and opens up entirely everyday. I use phytoplankton, to feed it, I have 1/4 of...

    Lighting from electrical supplier question

I'm just throwing out ideas here, but why dont you send your ballast back to icecap for repair? I've had VHO ballasts stop working and they repaired them for $65 flat fee including shipping back, unless your still under warranty. Second would be I've had a wiring harness burnout. Are you sure...

    "Plant Life" experiment results

I only have 2 questions, #1 anyone #2 Bang. #1 Which is more beneficial, 24/7 lighting, or opposite photo period for a fuge setup? #2 Did you maintain your "style points" during your lab? IE: not spilling any water, bumping into anything, did you take your goggles off? Jarod Most...

    Arrowa Carb/ Turbo Snails

2 gobies died to him. I also watched him chase my large hermit out of water up a filter pipe, and last night he was trying to grab my large yellow damsel in the tank. They look cumbersome and slow, but I'm telling you these things can flat move if they choose to put it in gear.

My clam's tipping over. is this bad?

I have a deresa, and they do prefer the sand bed. They have a foot and can move themselves as they please. As for the tear I do not know, only time will tell if it will heal. Make sure and keep your calcium about 450, and I feed mine phytoplankton. I've had it for 8 months now under VHO...

    My 155 bow front

I must admit, that is impressive craftmanship. What type wood is that, and did he use a plywood, or solid board? Its kind of hard to get an idea of the height on the canopy, I know it must be about 12"-16" tall since you have a 155. I was also curious if he took the bow of your aquarium bend...

    Wanting to add

Bubble corals require a reasonable amount of light, and hand feeding. Most use silversides. I dont think clownfish host leathers, atleast I haven't ever heard of them hosting leathers. You might look into or ask for suggestions on something easy a clownfish might host. I'm not sure were you...

    Arrowa Carb/ Turbo Snails

Actually my arrow crab took out two fish before I noticed it. He's a pain, I'm going to return him for credit this week. Personally I'm not a big fan of the arrow crab anymore.

Yeah, that little air lifter is a nice little addition. Seems to be basically made entirely for this purpose.

Thanks... I'm always interested in hearing care info from people who've kept a coral successfully.

    Lighting good enough?

For simplicity most power compact lights can be purchased with a "canopy" which is similar to a normal light kit. Just make sure it not a retrofit kit, which requires you making the canopy. Do some research, and see if your willing to pay the price for them, and remember there is a cost for...

    Torch Coral

Is this coral fed zooplankton, like my frogspawn, or does it feed off of phytoplankton mainly?

    Torch Coral

Anyone have a Torch coral? SWF lists it as a difficult keep, I'm curious if anyone has been successful with this coral.
