Almost all of my zoanthids have begun dieing in my tank, and i cannot seem find the cause. It started about 2 weeks ago with the polyps closing on one of my colonies. since then, all of my zoanthid, near a dozen or so, colonies are closed up or are startin to close up and not open anymore...

i got the surface skimmer at a local LFS, but i've seen them at several places online, i think it was like $10 or something like that. It is probably the best $10 i've spent in the whole tank. It immediately removed the layer of sludge that was on the top and it has never come back.

i dont think that you should commit to one type of LR only. The LR from different places all looks different and just makes the tank look that much more interesting. Get some from FL, some from fiji, some from tonga, and some from where ever, the more diverse the better IMO.

i have a yellowstripe maroon clown in my 10 gal w/ pc lighting in it and he does fine. he swims around alot and is quite active. He has never been near another maroon clown before so he is still small and never got huge like the female ones do. and i dont have an anemone either.
