If a black sea cucumber were to die i your tank it wouldnt crash it like other sea slugs, the duller the cucumber is the less toxic it is if it die, But if one did die you will have to do at LEAST a 10% water change. my friend's died and he did a 10%water change and everything was normal.
Yep those corals SHOULD do good with each other, make sure the RBT anemone dosent tough any other coral. and that the carpet anemone is on the sand. Goniporia corals dont seen to live long in captivity, look them up google. Clams do best on the sand but you can keep them on rock, if you have...
Whats on the back of your tank are probly just tube worms, are they hard and whitish? also your sand looks alittle green and dirty. you might want to get an Altantic Black Sea Cucumber, mine made my sand crystal clear in less then 24 hours. Great buy if you ask me!!
If you were to buy distilled water from Walmart it will end up being higher then getting a RO/DI unit, i top off 1 gallon a day, and do biweekly 5 gallon water changes. and at $1 a gallon that would be $40 a month, when you could buy an Ro/DI unit on ---- for $50, Just my opinion...
I have added the cost ofeverything you would need to build it by yourself.
two - Reflector sets with Mogul Base = $60
Two - 250W MH elctronic Ballasts = $280
$280 + $60 = $340 and that dosent even include the lights.
The one on ---- dosent include lights either but you would save money going...
Metal Halides can support almost any coral, if not all. he just said thay if you were to buy all seperate parts (sockets, wires, Reflector, Ballast, lights that it could be cheaper them buying it already put together
Reef, look on www.----.com and search for "aquarium metal halide" this is where im going to buy my Dual 250w MH with sockets, reflectors, and ballast.
Good luck!
Alright here is an update....I did the water change and got my Mag tested yesterday, and it is still 870, I checked my Calcium and it is now up to 390, so im happy, im going to do the next water change on Thursday April 13.
