What kind of sand is best to use in a fuge? Right now I am using the same type as the one in my display tank, which is very fine aragonite sand. LFS told me it's better to have different layers and sizes of sand particles, especially larger particles, so that water can go through it. :help:

I bought a heater from the LFS and after a week of use it got messed up. It stays on the whole time (surprise surprise it was a cheap heater). Will they take it back, or will the manufacturer replace it for free if I don't have a receipt? Is there a way to fix it myself?
