I have about a 1" dead sand bed in my 35 Gal, is there a way to make the sand live sand? I have live rock in the tank right now.

I recently purchased a pinked tipped anemone and was curious about how exactly they should be fed. Plenty of food makes it down to where it lives, but I am just not sure it is actually eating... What should an anemone look like when it is healhy & unhealthy. Another curious thing that happened...

I had 2 that died so a total of 4, One thing to take note of is that my clarki clown started nipping at my tang, at one point it started dragging it around the tank by its tail fin. It was probably thinking it was food becasue it was a baby ony about 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch long

I think your right. I am using crushed Coral. Although I would like to switch to live sand. Would it be adviseable to add live sand at this point? or would I have to do that during a Cycle?

Nah, they have always been kinda high, around the 40-50's

All my levels were perfect, except for my Nitrates were really high. pH: 8.2 Ammonia: 0 Nitrite: 0 Nitrate: 60

Not sure what is wrong with them, I just found 2 fish dead yesterday. They show no visible signs of illness. they were just found laying dead at the bottom of the tank.

Can anyone tell me what the fastest way is to Cycle new water in an established tank? I recently puchased a blue tang & it must have been sick becasue now all of my fish are dying. I would like to just do a 100% water change if possible & No I don't have a quarantine tank.

I had everthing back in the tank within about 30 minutes so I think it worked out good. Any recommendations on tests I "Have to" run on the water? or are the 4 I did sufficient?
