whats the best bang for the buck ballast if i'm going to run 4 48" VHO bulbs... the coralife 4-lamp kit ($259) or the icecap model 660 ($185)? anybody use either of these?

i have heard that it is very difficult for mandarins to live through a month long quarantine process due to their diet, etc. if this is so, then how does one protect their showtanks against disease when introducing one of these fish?
