Anyone had any luck having any kinds of triggers in their reef? I was thinking possibly a Niger trigger? Or Any failed attempts? Any expierences would be helpfull.

I have a small one in my 75, he's liek the size of a half dollar. No problems except when I put my peppermint shrimp in, ( they were real small ) never saw them again. I'm assuming he got hungry. Everything else is too big for his mouth.

Quick question here, I have an Orbit Lighting fixture /w the 2 65w pc acintics, and the 2 65 w pc flouricents. The question I have is, when I look at the acintics, there are like 4 tubes, 2 of them are brighter blue than the other, and the other 2 are more of a violet. The Flouricents are fine...

Suggestions? I got a bakpak prizm skimmer on the back, and an aquaclear 500 right now. Would any other fitler system work better? Don't want to spend a ton, juste wondering if I can pick someting up cheap off ----.

How reef safe are Carpet's? I like the looks of them, but don't want to lose a bunch of stuff in the process. Also, i have 2 percula's now, could I safely add a clarki? 75g setup. Lots of rockwork. The Percula's never swim around at all, they stay near the top of the tank in the corner.

It's yellow with a black horizontal raccoon stripe on it's face. And if it isn't the reef safe one, can I do any soft corals? I don't think I was going to do hard corals as of yet. Or am I better off just try ing to get him out of there?

I just purchased a longnose butterfly from my lfs, and they told me that it was reef safe. now, on the internet it says they are not. Anyone know for sure? and if they aren't what am I going to worry about it eating? I dont have any corals as of yet, but I will be shortly.

Just noticed at work, we have a ton of Sylvana Metal Halide bulbs 400w and 250w that we use in our overhead lighting systems for our warehouse? Would these also work for a reef tank? Or do you need something special?
