Here's the deal.. I have a 72" maristar 3 250 10k watt DE with 4 39 watt blue plus t5's. I'm upgrading MH lamps to 14k Phoenix on monday. I Know they do not need supplementation..But, I can't see myself not utilizing the T5's(would be a waste). What Kelvin of t5's would work well with the 14k...

What ballast are you using with your 14k phoenix bulbs? I have just put 3x250 wtt Mh and 4x39wtt t5 on my tank my temp was 79 and climbed to 83 in only 3 hours.The sump is in basement and no cover on it with a fan blowing across the surface.THe lights are at 12" above surface....I don't want to use a chiller any suggestions would be much...

I want to have my basement sprayed for spiders if i cover up the refuge good with plastic wrap will it be ok or am I taking a huge risk in crashing my tank?
