I think you are right but I haven't had any previous worm/pod experiences and don't want to [hr] up now.

Now that they have dried out on the sheet they appear to be two different creatures. The one on top with some redish to it appears to be more worm and the bottom whitish orange looks like maybe some sort of pod? Not sure they are just so small.

sadly yes but nothing related to the spots on his fins.

I had a porc that had similiar spots on his fins. In the two years I had him they never went away.

From what I have researched there is no way to tell the --- of a Porcupine Puffer short of a DNA test... If anybody knows different I would love to hear it.

I have seen posts of people that have kept theirs for a month with no problems. The RO/DI water I currently buy comes in 1 gallon containers and is labeled with an expiration date of one year (It was packaged 04-14-05 and expires on 4-14-06 for example) Hope this helps.

:mad: It's hard to find an LFS that cares much if at all. That is sad but I'm sure he will do much better now. Good luck.
