hey thanks alot guys and thatd be great if they really grow as fast as u said sammiefish. i think i have a purple encrusting M. capricornus? he looks nice i put him up by the top but i cant really see polyp extention since they seem so tiny. the branching digita has his polyps open and i can see...

im sure they dont actually eat nitrates persay, but all the phyto, diatoms, cyano i saw in one of those pics, etc........and stuff that grows as a result of the nitrates. even though the tank is clear theres probably tons of little stuff growin in there. :) .......JW, but i thought those clams...

im in about the same position, just got some monti frags and they have their polyps open and look good but im new to sps as well so i cant be sure. does anyone know how much flow is best for these? i have a branching digita, some brown one i dont knwo what it is and a purple encrusting monti...

thats what i was thinkin, just replace the bulb it comes with with one for a reef tank. i did notice the cheap high bay ones as their called are vertical and most mogul socket marine bulbs say horizontal burn position so im curious to know if they wont work because of that?? but what about...

Hey has anyone gone on ----? i see all these cheap metal halide penants that appear to hold the same mogul bulbs as the expensive setups. do these work? they have like high bay mh's their called i think from like gyms and grow lights for plants arent too high in price either. thanks!
