I amwondering how a ugf would funtion with an LS...hence the name of UGF. I have never used them, have a LSB and I would think that LS would simply clog the filtration as with gravel water can flow through the UGF but with sand? I say they are outta their mind.

I agree. A ten percent water change should not have dropped the PH off the scale, maybe possibly if the water that was changed was salt and the water that went in was straight r/o or tap. Salt mix have the buffers to maintain a stable ph so you should have seen minimal PH fall if any at all...

The dip was about 23 minutes too long, glad the little guy made it. When I dip I will keep the fish in at most 10 minutes (most dip for 3-7 minutes) as they will usually stress out. Just make sure the temp and ph in your dip water matches your tank. Good to hear all the fish are doing well...
