There might be another reason for the star polyp being closed...I just bought a Valentini Puffer and I told the guy my tank was a reef, and he said it would be fine. Could that also be the reason? Should I take back the Puffer?

Are Valentini Puffers reef safe? I bought one the other day and it seems to be eating at my mushrooms, algea, polyps, ect. Is this normal? Will he kill them?

The other day I was trying to clean the moss and algea off of my star polyps and I ran them under warm water. Now, they won't come back out. Are they dead? Did the warm water kill them? Is there any chance of saving them?

I have a problem with my Salifert test kits. The test reading strip that they sent me doesn't read right. For Amonia that chart reads <0.25, 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, >2 What is wrong? Isn't Amonia supposed to be at 0? Please HELP!!!!:help:

nope, no changes in water, it is all great, tested water with salifert tests. i'll try buying some of the food, and hopefully that will work. at least i know im not doing anything to make it worse! ps-i didn't drip acclimate him...i floated him for 30 min....would that kill it?

I have a 50/50 light thats 65 watts on a 12 gallon eclipse. I have had the tank set up for 9 months. its near the powerhead, but in the front of the tank and the powerhead is in the back. is that ok?
