I have 40 gallon fuge with a lot of caulerpa, little bit of spaghetti algae and 10 red mangrove that I put in about a month ago, also have a DAS protein skimmer rated for a 200 that I run 24-7 unless I'm feeding the fish or corals.

Just wondering does it make a difference in nitrate build up if you are feeding more meaty foods vs. flake or veggie type foods. Having a nitrate issue since I set up my 125 and I have been feeding basically frozen mysis shrimp and brine instead of the formula one I was feeding in my 75...
