    Stinging sensation on my hand????

Wash you hands in vinegar. The vinegar will dissolve the bristle worm spines. If you hold your hand in the right light, you should be able to see the spines. they look like little slivers of glass.

Can anyone help with Geothermal H/C?

Geothermal heating uses PEX plastic pipe. You need to sink the pipes real deep in the ground (75-250 feet depending on area, application, etc). If it's only for your aquarium, you'll probably only need one loop (pipe running down the hole and back up). A geothermal contractor will be able to...

    New Camera

Happy new year to all. I haven't posted anything for quite a long time, so I thought I would post a couple pictures with my new camera. Thanks to all the advice I got off this site, I've had my tank up for a year and have had the pleasure of watching things progress, appear, grow, disappear...

Electrical question...not sure if I can do this?

Nope. From the pics, it looks like you want to cut off the 12v box and replace it with a grounded plug. Whatever the 12v plug is powering runs on 12 volts -- that box is basically a resistor of sorts. If you removed it, and connected whatever it is with the grounded plug, you'll be shooting...

    5 inch flatworm???

Well, it appears that he may be hiding in the largest rock in my tank. I think I'll pattern this thing like a deer to make sure it regularly goes into that rock. If I remove the rock, will a high salinity dip force him out?

    5 inch flatworm???

I just found something  How big do flatowrms get? I was looking around with a flashlight, and saw what looks like a flatworm -- except this sucker is about 5 inches long by 2 inches wide when he's all streched out. He recoils from the light and moves over the rocks. It is a brownish...

    What happened???

I used part B of the C-Balance Cacilum/Alk kit. My calcium has been high (495) so I have only been using the Part B for a while. Normally. I have been dosing 15 ml of part b (recommendations for my size tank). I Dosed double in the morning by placing it in the sump. Then I dosed double in the...

    What happened???

Over the weekend, my toadstool has developed something. It doesn't look good. Whatever it is, it is spreading. Last thursday, I tried raising my alk quickly. I went from 7.5 to 9. I did it to see if changing the alk would shock out the last bits of cyano on my sand. My nothing else responded...

Pyro, Yes, I caught that fish. 2004 La Paz, Mexico. 46 lb. I go every year, and usually try and avoid fishing for Dorado (dolphin on the east coast). Sometimes, they are the only thing going. I'm leaving for La Paz on June 13th this year. Before I go, I want to install a top-off system and...
