I was looking at my tank with the lights off and found this creature. Do you know what it is? I'm thinking sea cumcumber, but I need help. It blends into the rock real well and is appx an inch long. It has a hard shell and moves slow. I would like to know what it is and if it's bad. Thanks

Unless your bristol worms are huge, I wouldn't worry about them. If you must get rid of them, buy a six line wrass. There supposed to eat bristols.

Is your live rock cured or did you mail order it? You can expect high nitrates and nitrites during the cycle period, especially if your curing live rock in your tank.

I have a 1.5in Huma Huma in my 180gal reef tank. He has not bothered any of the coral, nor the shrimp. I have always felt that is you keep your fish fed they will not bother anything else. There are a few exceptions like the Clown Trigger or Queen Trigger which are just down right mean.
